2010 is the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social
Exclusion. The year has also seen the launch of the Equalities Act.
This presents a good opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved in Plymouth on tackling poverty for diverse groups in Plymouth and particularly to look at models of excellence. The day will be chaired by Judy Leverton the chair of the A4A (Advice for All) Network Group. Keynote speakers will be Pete Aley, Assistant Director for Safer Communities, PCC, Barbara Duffy, Director, Plymouth Age Concern and Ann Kinahan, Director of Plymouth CAB.
