Want to find out about Beliefs, Faiths and Culture?  Plymouth has a population of 250,700 with a growing Black and Ethnic Minority population (6%) which brings a wealth of diversity in the city, ranging from the RESPECT Festival to a joint Diwali and Eid Event, Pride, Refugee Week, Chinese and Kurdish New Years to name but a few. There are over 75 first languages spoken in the city. The main languages are Kurdish, Portuguese, Arabic, French, Czech, Polish, Chinese, Farsi, Bengali and Turkish. The more common faiths are Christian, Baha'i, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan and Sikh.
